Looking good in a Webinar is important. Here are 20 tips:
- Stay in the center of the screen, your face shouldn’t be too high or too low.
- The camera should be at face level and should maintain a distance of 30 inches or one arm distance.
- The light source should be in front of you, not behind you.
- While using a phone for video call, makes sure it, on landscape mode.
- Your background should be probably plain or minimalistic, if possible use a virtual background with your Company logo.
- Try to make sure nobody keeps moving around behind you, while you are in the meeting.
- Keep the camera ON, it’s considered indecent to keep the camera OFF.
- Keep the mic unmute when you are not speaking.
- Rename to make sure your Company & your Name appears.
- Try being still, do not move a lot, and don’t be jet.
- Eating is not considered decent, however, sipping a cup of coffee or tea is fine.
- When you have to speak, speak in a normal tone do not shout.
- Always be on-time or 5 minutes early for a meeting.
- Dress smart & appropriately, you might have to stand.
- When you are done let the team know by telling, “I AM DONE” or “THANK YOU”.
- Stick to the time limit, do not exceed.
- Always have a pen & paper handy to makes notes of important points in the meeting.
- Make sure your battery power, mic, speakers, internet connection and camera are all upon running.
- Be attentive, focused, and avoid multi-tasking.
- If you have to speak, prepare & practice your presentations or script, most importantly be yourself & smile.
