He was also on the board of the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) and an international advisor to the Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE).
Prior to that, Gautam has spent some 20 years in finance roles in different parts of the oil & gas industry, mainly with Royal Dutch Shell plc.
Since leaving DMCC, Gautam has focused on non-executive roles and currently serves as:
- Senior advisor to the Group CEO of the DSA Group, which has interests in mining, energy, technology, and trading.
- Chairman, Sentinel Commodities, a proprietary commodity trading house which trades crude and distillates.
- Director, Sentinel Energy Alpha Fund (SEAF) an oil hedge fund.
- Senior mentor and advisor, Fintech Innovations International.
- Director, Risk Quotient Ltd., a niche consultancy in ERM, technology risk consulting, CISO support, and education.
