Webinars are becoming extremely popular with businesses for generating new leads. Hosting webinars help build better brand recognition, establish yourself as an authority, and gives a good reason for people to see why they should work with or buy from you.

You can organise the best webinar in the world, but if you don’t get people to sign up you are not going to succeed.

One of the most important things to do to get people to sign up is to have a registration page and start the user experience with seamless interaction.

Here are a few tips to achieve that:

  1. Simplify your onboarding procedure
On the registration page, you want to minimize the barrier to entry, and asking people for too much information is never a good idea. Be sure to design a clear and user-friendly signup form. This means keeping the number of entry fields to a minimum and only asking what you need of your subscribers. Often, all you need to ask for is the user’s name, email address, and maybe the company they work for. Be sure to keep your data fields large with top-aligned text. This will make the form easier and faster for the user to complete.
Remember, you can always send your registrants a survey after the registration asking for more information. Immediately trigger a confirmation email to new registrants after they complete the webinar registration form.
  2. Have a strong Unique Selling Point
Include a brief copy to describe what the participant will learn from your webinar. A unique selling point for your business is what makes you, or your business different.
Always provide a few good reasons why participants should invest their time to watch your webinar as opposed to others. The value propositions need to be cleverly crafted to attract the right audience.
People don’t want to attend your webinar to hear a product pitch or how you became a success story. They want to learn how you can transform a part of their lives.
  3. Use Videos to Sell
Did you know that videos on a landing page can boost conversions up to 80%? Provide a compelling video that tells prospects what to expect. You can use sounds and visuals to elicit an emotional response, compared to standard ways of communication.
  4. Highlight Q&A & Solicit Questions
Q&A session is essential for keeping your webinars engaging. Providing a Q&A also enables you to solicit questions right on your signup page. Presenting users with the option to ask questions now can help ensure their attendance later.
  5. Provide reasons to Register ‘NOW
Implementing a countdown clock is always a good idea to highlight the urgency in registering at soonest.
‘Reserve your spot, now’ is a good call to action. You can even consider limiting attendee seats. Often times this will boost registrations.
  6. Add to Calendar
To assist in registrants to remember the date and time of your webinar, it is a good option to provide the ‘Add to Calendar’ feature.
  7. Share With Friends and Colleagues
Provide a comprehensive ‘Share’ option with all popular Social media options.
If you implement all of the above suggestions, you are well on your way to having happy campers attend your forthcoming webinars.
